Stability and Safeness The product is able to be preserved for long periods of time as the molded ceramic, which is solid and durable, interrupts the heat transfer to the back side of the lamp and thus is not affected by electrical sparks. Also, the reflector of the carbon heater, which is made of stainless steel, is used semi-permanently. The quartz tube which covers the carbon fibers is made of tempered glass and filled with nitrogen; there is no concern for rusting or cracks, or accumulation of moisture inside.
